Adult Learners as Advocates for Adult Education: Building a Successful Partnership between You and Adult Learners
When talking with funders and decision makers about your adult education program, adult learners can reach them in a way that practitioners cannot. Yet there is more to asking adult learners to be advocates for your program than just asking them to tell their personal stories. In this workshop we will learn by sharing our experiences, both successes & failures, to have a better insight of what works and to look at new solutions so practitioners and adult learners can work together with mutual understanding and respect.

Adult Learner advocating for leadership development is the process
of involving Adult Learners in meaningful ways both in and beyond
the classroom. It is providing opportunities for Adult Learners to
demonstrate their talents, skills, and interests while continuing to
develop new skills. It is also about giving Adult Learners more
ownership of the programs they attend
