VALUE is the only national literacy organization governed entirely by adult learners.

As many as 13 adult learners may serve on the Board of Directors. The Board is elected by the members of VALUE.

You can nominate yourself or someone else to be on the Board as long as the nominee agrees to meet all nine qualifications throughout his/her term on the Board.

The Board reviews nominations and approves a slate of nominees. Then, VALUE members approve or reject this slate at the annual meeting.

For 2009, nominations are due by April 3, 2009. New Board Members will be elected at the annual meeting, which will be held during the 2009 Leaderhip Institute , May 3-5 in New Carrollton, MD.
